Tutoring and Test Preparation
Marks Counseling Associates, LLC (MCA) offers tutoring services for almost all independent school, college and graduate school standardized tests, for high school academic subjects, and for tailored work on study skills. Our tutors are Nitin Sawhney, who directs the Tutoring Division, Daniel Bloss, Jill Salisbury and Denise Buchanan.
MCA offers custom designed materials for test preparation, including workbooks tailored to the test and a vocabulary list and flash cards compiled from, among other sources, published College Board tests. We proctor standardized tests every Sunday, and by appointment. All practice standardized tests are free.
Over the 2007-2008 school year, MCA students achieved an average score improvement of 320 points from their Sophomore PSAT scores to their final SAT test.
Nitin, Dan, and Jill take the SAT and other standardized tests multiple times a year to monitor carefully the changing trends in the tests they tutor.
