SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test) – The SSAT is used for placement in independent or private junior high or high schools. There are two levels of the test: Lower level for students in grades 5-7, and Upper level for students in grades 8-11.  For information and to register, go to http://www.ssat.org/

ISEE (Independent School Entrance Examination) – The ISEE is an admissions test for students entering independent schools in grades 5 through 12.  There are three levels of the ISEE: Lower level (grades 5-6), Middle level (grades 7-8), and Upper level (grades 9-12).  For information and to register, go to http://www.erbtest.org/

HSPT (high school placement test) – The HSPT is an admission test for students currently in grade 8, entering parochial schools in grade 9.  For information and to register, go to http://www.ststesting.com/hsptpg9.html

PSAT/NMSQT – Preliminary SAT used to determine eligibility for National Merit Scholarship Program.  The PSAT is usually administered through high schools in fall of junior year.  For information, go to http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/psat/about.html

SAT – College Board standardized test for college admissions.  Students usually take the SAT in the winter or spring of junior year, and often again in the fall of senior year.  The College Board web site contains comprehensive information, including dates and registration procedures for the SAT: http://www.collegeboard.com

SAT Subject Tests – The College Board offers Subject Tests (formerly called SAT IIs) in a variety of high school subjects.  Many colleges now require or “strongly recommend” that students take one or more of these exams.  For information, go to http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/sat/about/SATII.html

ACT – Standardized achievement examination and alternative to the SAT (if taken with optional Writing section) as primary test for college admissions.  Students usually take the ACT in the winter/spring of junior year, and often again in the fall of senior year.  ACT information can be found at http://www.actstudent.org/

GRE – Standardized test required for admission to most graduate schools.  Information is available at http://www.ets.org/gre

GMAT (Graduate Management Admissions Test) – The standardized test for admissions into MBA programs.  Information is available at http://www.mba.com/mba/thegmat

Academic Tutoring

We offer tutoring through AP levels for almost all high school classes, including Math up to Multivariable Calculus, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, English Literature and Language, Economics, U.S. and World History, Computer Science and Spanish Language.

We also tutor pre-high school and high school students in study skills to increase their academic efficiency and achievement.
