Pre-High School Counseling

Pre-high school students and their parents make a big mistake if they spend any time thinking – much less obsessing – about college admission. They make an equally big mistake if they don't take time to think about how to make the most of their school years, both in and out of the classroom. Our pre-high school counseling focuses on helping young people flourish, by identifying and seeking to nourish interests and talents.

Our meetings are not limited to in-person sessions, but include telephone conference calls as well.

Our Pre-High School Grade Package includes:

  • An extended meeting with student and parents in the summer before or early fall of a student's academic year, to pull together needed information and to explore academic and extracurricular goals, options, and opportunities.
  • Late fall meeting to review academic progress and provide appropriate support.
  • A spring meeting with student and parents to review progress, discuss summer activities, and confirm plans for the following year.
  • Between-meetings access to a counselor for the student or parents to help deal with specific issues or answer particular questions as they arise during the school year.
