At Marks Counseling Associates, LLC, our ultimate goal is college admission, but our first objective is to help students make the most of their high school years. While the majority of our clients are in high school, we welcome students at the pre- and post-high school levels.

We work with students and parents to promote informed, strategic thinking, to identify and make the most of all available options and opportunities, and to strike the right balance between optimistic and realistic choices.

In preparing for the college admission process, we:

• help students and their parents choose and, over time, refine a curriculum that fits a student's interests, skills and goals,

• help plan and prepare for standardized testing, and offer a comprehensive range of tutoring services to create the strongest possible profile, and

• work with students and their parents to identify and successfully develop personal strengths and interests (academic, altruistic, artistic, athletic, and others) that may offer a strategic advantage in the college admissions process.

In addition to the services we provide to our paying clients, Marks Counseling Associates, LLC, provides pro bono college counseling, advice on financial aid and admissions, and test-preparation classes to an ever-increasing population of gifted, low-income, primarily first-generation-to-college, public high-school students.

We provide comprehensive services to Collegiate Directions, Inc. Scholars, but also work with the Latino Student Fund and other, similar area organizations.
